ABSTRACT

"Yoga," a 5000-year-old Indian tradition, has evolved into a comprehensive approach to health, benefiting individuals physically, mentally, and spiritually. Beyond its intrinsic value, Yoga has become a potent tool of soft power for India, exerting influence on a global scale. It is against this background this article has been written. This article delves into Yogas potential as a primary instrument of Indias soft power, scrutinizing the impact of governmental policies on Indias cultural sway. The primary objective of writing this paper is to describe the importance of yoga and how it can be used as a soft power mechanism to boost India’s image on the global platform. The research methodology adopted in this paper is based on a mix of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The main finding of this study is that Yoga can be easily utilised as a soft power tool on the global stage. Using Yoga as a soft power tool can bring overall benefits for the entire Indian community.
