ABSTRACT
The most susceptible groups to violence are children. In India, child trafficking is the least reported crime despite being one of the most significant issues. Through a variety of internet channels, child trafficking has also increased as a result of technical advancements. Conversely, social media has emerged as a crucial platform for discussing and addressing child abuse. There are now more chances to increase media mobilization for child development interventions nationwide because of the rise of new media. The goal of this project is to produce a comprehensive body of knowledge regarding child trafficking and its several manifestations. The primary goal of the research is to gain a thorough understanding of how technological advancements can be used to address child trafficking challenges. The nature of child trafficking, its causes and motivations, and the prevention strategies that have been considered are all reflected in this research. Therefore, from a human rights perspective, this research clearly shows how social media and technology have a lot of potential to enable people to become knowledgeable and engaged supporters of childrens rights, particularly when it comes to child trafficking. Commercial sexual exploitation of children, also known as Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST), is facilitated by the Internet, including social networking, online marketing, and encryption technology. At the same time, the Internet is becoming more widely recognized as a primary prevention and intervention strategy for DMST among young people. However, there havent been many studies done on how the Internet affects the lives of young people who DMST abuses.
The research findings indicated that most of the law enforcement organizations included in the research did not disclose any child abuse cases that were brought to them by ISPs, and of those that were, the vast majority involved child pornography.
