ABSTRACT
J. M. Coetzees fifth novel, Foe (1986), Coetzees Foe redefine the story of Robinson Crusoe in female protagonists viewpoint, highlights silence and violence of western discourse. As Edward Said shared in his book Orientalism, cultural construction is done by west through the literary works. It appears clearly that non textual experience of the world in not at all possible. The novel Foe questions all dominant discourses that produce social psyche in order to take forward and justify the ideals of colonialism.
