ABSTRACT

A conflict is a disagreement between people with opposing points of view. Conflicts represent clashes of interests like thinking processes, opinions, needs, upbringing, and culture. For instance, if we consider human psychology, there are various components which aggravate situations characterised with a neutral ambience to ones which lead to intense environments. These include lack of empathy, ignorance about the complexity of the situation, unrealistic perceptions about alternative outcomes. Conflicts primarily arise as a result of a limited number of resources (Economic Conflict), varied preferences (Value Conflict), influence in social settings (Power Conflict).
