ABSTRACT

Multi-objective optimization in interval environments has been extended in this article. When tackling a multi-objective optimization problem, we have devised a definition of Pareto optimality and constructed many problems (such as the global criteria technique, lexicographic problem, and the lexicographic Weighted Tchebychef problem) in an interval context. Constrained multi-objective optimization problems are solved by maximising system reliability and decreasing system cost under the premise that each component’s reliability and cost coefficients are interval-valued; these approaches have been employed. Afterwards, the problem has been simplified to a single-objective constrained optimization problem in several ways, Big-M penalty technique was used to compress the problem to a single objective optimization problem, which was solved utilising evolutionary algorithm and our newly proposed interval order relations.
