Data Allocation Techniques for Distributed Database Design

ABSTRACT

Distributed database technology is one of the major technological developments during last 30 years in the field of computer science. Moreover, the need as well as the importance of distributed database systems has increased a lot with the invention of cloud computing and IoT based devices. The design of a distributed DBMS plays a key role in its performance and data allocation is one of the major design issues. This paper is an attempt to discuss various data allocation techniques available for distributed database design.
