ABSTRACT
In today world, people throw waste in every place, it can lead to dangerous diseases. Therefore, waste management is one of the dominant issues in developing cities. The major problem in the waste administration is that the dustbin at public spots gets spilled over well ahead of time previously the initiation of the succeeding cleaning procedure. It prompts different perils like terrible smell and offensiveness to that place which might be the main driver for the spread of different illnesses. Therefore in this paper, a novel IoT-based smart dustbin is developed with the help of an Arduino UNO microcontroller. The main hardware components of this proposed design consist of an ultrasonic sensor, servo motor, LED and Arduino. The software platform is the application named PYTHON which is used to attain message notifications. The main of this developed work is to monitor the dustbin filling status whether it is filled or not. The procedure is assisted by the two ultrasonic sensors which are adapted with Arduino UNO to monitor whether the person is nearer to the smart dustbin or not and send the notification to the municipal systems. Moreover, the newly designed smart dustbin can be used for Waste Management System (WMS) where the municipal comities can empty and clean the smart dustbin which is based on the message notification. Here, African Buffalo Optimization (ABO) algorithm is implemented to invert the innovative model.
