Financial Environment for Infrastructure Development in Karnataka: An Overview

ABSTRACT

The new strategies adopted by all states for rapid growth of the economies with faster increase in infrastructure facilities to meet the immense demand of the people in all contexts. The Karnataka State is also not free from the impact of globalization as well as LPG model on its economy. Before LPG era there was low level infrastructural facilities in Karnataka even though planning and budgetary provisions Because of there was less provisions and less level of states GDP to improve infrastructure. Karnataka state is rich in availability of resources and having a good reliable, supporting environment for infrastructure development. Globalization process is also creating more helpful environment for faster sustainable economic growth over the long period of time with enhancing its infrastructure in the state. With this background the present work examine the various institutional environments for infrastructural development in Karnataka under LPG Regime.
