ABSTRACT
Purpose: Primary concern of this problem is to investigate the disorder in a transversely isotropic visco-thermoelastic homogeneous spinning medium with two temperatures. Here, the condition is that the medium is in the combined effect of Hall currents due to the normal force of ramp type and magnetic field effect.
Design/methodology/approach: To formulate this problem, generalized thermoelasticity theories are applied, which are designed by GN theory Type-II and type-III. To solve the problem, Fourier and Laplace transform is applied. The transformed expressions of current density components, conductive temperature, stress components, and density are obtained. The solution to the problem in the physical domain is obtained by the numerical inversion technique.
Findings: Different types of stresses, displacement components, current density components, and conductive temperature are computed numerically, and the effect of viscosity on these terms is shown graphically. Some special cases are also discussed.
Originality/value: Comparisons are made with and without viscosity effect for rotating transversely isotropic visco-thermoelastic medium under Hall current and magnetic effects.
