ABSTRACT
Sustainability is a very broad, practical, dynamic and revolutionary concept. With the advent of the sustainability movement, every nation has pledged to sustain its resources in such a way that they can meet the needs of the current generation without jeopardizing the fulfilment of the needs of future generations. This sustainability revolution appears to have had a significant impact on contemporary public policy. The primary concern of various countries public policies remains the preservation of diminishing resources, which are unavoidable for the survival of future life as well as its present. India appears to be one of those nations working hard to meet sustainability criteria within the United Nations Agenda 2030 timeline. By introducing numerous programmes, India has adopted a comprehensive strategy to achieve its 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The vision of Indian public policy towards sustainability standards is enough, but turning that vision into reality is quite difficult. Since being adopted, India has been working hard to meet the highest standards of sustainability, just like other nations. India, the second most populous country in the world, has a significant part to play in the effort to uphold sustainable global responsibilities.
