ABSTRACT
Retail sector is indeed a crucial component of a countrys economy. It encompasses a wide range of activities, including the sale of goods and services to consumers, and it has a significant impact on economic growth, employment, and overall prosperity. Retail being the Service industry, Job satisfaction within the retail sector is a critical factor that influences both individual employees and the success of the businesses they work for. The present study is aimed at understanding the factors associated with Job Satisfaction amongst employees in Retail sector in India. The study considered both primary as well secondary data.Struactured questionnaire is designed for collection of primary data as per the objectives of the study. The sampling framework is comprised of employees working in Retail sector and belonging to different demographic profiles. The results of the study concluded that the Male & Female do not signifies from each other with respect to all the associated factors of Job Satisfaction, also Married & Unmarried respondents are similar with respect to all the associated factors of Job Satisfaction. Major factor influencing Job satisfaction amongst employees of Retail sector is Standard Processes and Procedures and the least important factor is Work Life Balance. Factors influencing the job satisfaction amongst employees in Retail sector were Conducive Environment, Safety & Security and Reasonable Job Expectations.
