The Role of Transformational Leadership in Achieving Organizational Excellence in Private Universities in Sana’a Capital Secretariat

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine the role of transformational leadership, with its four dimensions (ideal influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration), in achieving organizational excellence in private Yemeni universities in Sanaa Capital Secretariat. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and used a questionnaire to collect data. The study population consisted of (524) employees in academic and administrative leadership positions in ten private universities in Sanaa Capital Secretariat. A sample size of (233) individuals was selected, of which (221) valid questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis. After conducting the statistical analyses, the study arrived at the following key findings: there is a relatively high interest in practicing transformational leadership and achieving organizational excellence among the leaders of private Yemeni universities, in addition to a positive role of transformational leadership in achieving organizational excellence in private Yemeni universities in Sanaa Capital Secretariat. The study also found a positive role of the dimensions of transformational leadership (intellectual stimulation, individual consideration, and ideal influence) in achieving organizational excellence, while the dimension of inspirational motivation showed no role in achieving organizational excellence.
